Massage therapy is the manipulation of muscles to help relieve pain, restore function and promote relaxation. It is used in the care of sport injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, pre and post-natal care, back pain, sciatica, headaches and migraines. In addition to traditional Swedish massage therapy we offer stone massage therapy and cupping therapy.

Stone massage uses the heated thermal stones in a deeply relaxing and soothing massage. Chilled marble stones can also be used when a joint or muscle calls for contrasting cold instead of hot treatment. Stone massage therapy is excellent for the care of muscular injuries and is beneficial for any one with joint pain or muscle spasticity.

Cupping therapy uses suction to create a negative pressure away from the body which pulls up on tight, deep muscle tissue. This process increases your body’s circulation, helps move oxygen and nutrients to tight muscles to promote healing and detox. We use silicone cups since they are soft and the degree of suction can be controlled and the intensity level adjusted. Cupping can be used for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.
